How much is a taxi from Colombo airport to Kandy or Galle?
A private transfer from Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) to Kandy is USD 60 and to Galle USD 75. The price is per vehicle for up to three passengers with luggage, not per person, and includes fuel, tolls, parking and your driver.
Where do we meet the driver at Colombo airport?
Your driver waits in the arrivals hall just outside customs, holding a sign with your name. We track your flight, so a delay costs you nothing — simply come out when you clear immigration.
How long does the drive from CMB airport take?
Allow roughly 3 hours to Kandy, 2 to 2.5 hours to Galle or Hikkaduwa on the southern expressway, 3.5 hours to Mirissa, 4 hours to Sigiriya, 5 to 6 hours to Yala and around 7 to 8 hours to Arugam Bay, including a short refreshment stop.
Are night and early morning pickups available?
Yes. Most international flights land late at night or before dawn and we cover every arrival time at the same fixed rate, with no night surcharge.
Do you have vehicles for families and large groups?
Yes. Cars suit up to three travellers, while vans and mini-coaches carry 4 to 12 passengers with extra luggage space. Child seats can be arranged free of charge if you tell us the ages when booking.
Can we stop for sightseeing on the way?
Absolutely. Many guests break the drive at Pinnawala, Dambulla or a coastal stilt-fishing viewpoint. Tell us what interests you and we will quote the transfer with sightseeing stops included.
How do we pay, and can we pay in another currency?
You can pay your driver in cash in USD, EUR, GBP or Sri Lankan rupees at the end of the journey, or settle by bank transfer in advance. Nothing is deducted from your card at booking.
What happens if we need to cancel?
Transfers cancelled more than 7 days ahead are refunded in full, and date changes are free with at least 48 hours notice. Full details are in our cancellation policy.
